Merry Christmas from the Trip Witch in Rockefeller Center

Christmas in Rockefeller Center is joyful

Sunday I was in Manhattan to see ‘A Christmas Story’ on Broadway (so much fun, by the way) and braved the crowds to catch a glimpse of the 80 foot Norway Spruce, decorated with more than 30,000 lights, in Rockefeller Center.  Everyone should come to New York City during the holidays to experience the beauty, joy and, yes, insanity of this great city at Christmastime.

    • This year’s tree is from New Jersey, thankfully surviving Hurricane Sandy. According to Wikipedia, it is transported by: a custom telescoping trailer that can transport trees up to 125 feet tall, although the width of New York City streets passing through Rockefeller Center limits the height of the trees to 110 feet. Amazing! Thanks for reading – Merry Christmas.
